When using HDMI-IN on Tap room audio echos on Teams Rooms on Android

• Products Affected:

  • Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, Rally Bar Huddle and RoomMate

• Conditions:

  • Devices running CollabOS 1.13.0 or 1.14.0 along with Teams Rooms 1449/1.0.96.2024110701 (November 2024) and later that are content sharing using Tap with HDMI-in connected to a computer are experiencing echo of the room audio with HDMI audio support.

• Workaround:

  • Disable HDMI-audio in Teams Admin Center in device settings

• Resolution Progress:

  • HDMI-in audio support is not currently supported, but is being actively worked on.

Logitech and Microsoft are working to resolve this issue. As of 4/22/2025 the issue still persists. Before sharing HDMI content, disable HDMI audio. For the time being, audio cannot be shared into the call without experiencing an echo, regardless if the HDMI content has audio or not. If HDMI audio is desired, temporarily mute room microphones while sharing content, and un-mute once sharing is complete.
