Microsoft Teams Rooms devices have certain requirements to function and be deployed:



  1. Resource Account created for each device (not to be mistaken with a User Account) 


  1. Mailbox assigned to each Resource Account


  1. Password assigned to each Resource Account


  1. Assigning a Teams License


  1. Optional: Configure Resource Mailbox to accept invitations from Third Party Meetings (aka - meetings with non-teams platforms like zoom, etc)







Creating a Resource Account

Mailbox assigned to each Resource Account

Password & License Assigned to each Resource Account

Locate the Resource Account Password Settings and License Settings within the User Accounts Section







Reset/Set the Password and Assign a Teams License to the Account. Licenses can be purchased at: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/microsoft-teams-rooms/

Deployment of your Teams Device

This can be handled on a per device basis by entering the domain, resource email account, and resource password on each device you are provisioning. This procedure can be done via the IT Team or coordinated with the AV Vendor
