Zoom requires you to register a generic device in the zoom phone section of the zoom portal in order for SIP information to be generated. You may have to submit a feature request with zoom in order for "other" to appear in brand. Keep in mind with their ticketing system, this feature request enable may take up to two weeks:



Zoom asked for the following information in regards to enabling the feature request:

1 ) How many units are you looking to configure manually? However many devices
2 ) Does it support SIP registration? Yes
3 ) Does it support the use of a wildcard SSL certificate? Yes
4 ) Does it support TLS 1.2/SRTP security protocol? Yes to both
5 ) What are its TLS 1.2/AES -256 cipher sets? NOTE: THESE ARE CIPHER SETS FOR Q-SYS AND WILL NOT APPLY TO OTHER MANUFACTURERS:

After the feature is enabled, create a generic SIP device in the zoom portal as shown below:


From here, click "Add". Fill in the Display Name and Description Fields, and enter the MAC address of your VOIP device. Device type selection should be "other":


Additionally, you'll then have to assign a Common area space to an available phone extension under the zoom account. This may require the client to purchase additional licensing:



Once the room is assigned, click "Actions" and "Provision" to generate SIP credentials:


SIP information will list the SIP Domain, Outbound Proxy, User Name, Authorization ID and Password:



Finally, in this case with a Q-Sys Core 110f, fill in the required SIP information in the "Softphones" tab. Be sure that your DSP Lan port is configured for VOIP on their network and the port has internet access:
